At Hoehenluft we know the German Shepherd Dog to be a versatile working dog capable of being trained to perform a wide variety of tasks.   German Shepherds are family pets, police dogs, guide dogs, search and rescue dogs, bomb and drug detection dogs, sheep and cattle herders, hunting companions, guard dogs, obedience champions, avalanche dogs, assistance dogs and show dogs.  Regardless of their particular role, a well bred, sound German Shepherd Dog, raised and trained well, makes an owner forget that other breeds even exist.

2008, 2009, and 2010 National Competitor, Diego has now retired and starting to make a name for himself as a superior producing male.    With a working track record hard to duplicate, At the 2008 USA Northwest Regional Championships under well known SV Judge Frank Mensing, Diego was 100 points in obedience AND 100 points in protection!  At the 2010 USA Northwest Regional Championships Diego was 98 points in tracking, 96 points in obedience, and 96 points in protection = 290 V.  

Venus has a pedigree containing the most sought after working dogs in Germany and we feel extremely fortunate to be able to have her with us at Hoehenluft.   Her puppies are of working age and already she has multiple offspring working for law enforcement agencies.

We proudly welcome Tyra von Dunklen Zwinger to the USA and are honored to have her join our girls here at Hoehenluft.    "Tyra" is a daughter of BSP and 4 x LGA competitor Sid vom haus Pixner.   Her mother is the top producing Candy von der Altwies (who scored 100-98-98 in her last trial).   Tyra is 1/2 sister to Erkan and Eick Altwies both who have competed at the LGA and BSP.   Erkan received a V score for his FH2 and also competed at the BSP in Meppen.  "Tyra" is linebred Gildo Korbelbach 5/5.

She is bred to Peter Jensen-Agerkilde's outstanding competition dog "Dario vom Weinbergblick" .   "Dario" is a well known son of Vito Waldwinkel and the top producing female Inka vom Weinbergblick.      In his Koer report, the honorable Körmeister Helmut König rated Dario as  "lobenswert ausgeprägtem"  (exceptionally praiseworthy in his fighting drives).
